What determines the light decay and lifespan of LED street lights?

The power of led street light is generally larger than that of indoor lamps. It ranges from 10W-1000W, and the 80-300W of the mains is relatively concentrated. Under the premise that the quality of lamp beads is relatively good by default, the most important factor affecting the light decay or lifespan of led street light is heat dissipation. The following factors in turn affect heat dissipation:
a. LED packaging
b. Structural design of lamp radiator
c. The smoothness of the contact surface between the lamp and the aluminum substrate
d. Thermal conductivity and smoothness of aluminum substrate
e. Selection of thermally conductive materials
f. Material of radiator


In addition to heat dissipation factors, the protection level of the led street light will also affect the life of the LED. If the above factors are dealt with properly, an LED light source can be used normally for 10-15 years, but the constant current driver may need to be replaced during the period.
